# Backroom > Backroom is a Shopify app for retailers with physical stock: suggested purchase orders per supplier, purchase-order management, receiving deliveries by barcode scan, shelf labels and stock takes. It replaces the purchasing and stock-count workflow Shopify retired with Stocky. Two plans with every feature: Free (3 purchase orders and 1 stock take a month, no time limit) and Standard ($29/month, unlimited, 14-day free trial), billed through Shopify. App Store listing: https://apps.shopify.com/backroom-purchase-orders ## What it does - Fill shelves: for every product it uses recent sales velocity, the supplier's lead time and the store's days-of-cover setting to compute a reorder point and target, then suggests order quantities grouped by supplier. One click creates a purchase order per supplier. - Purchase orders: draft → ordered → partially received → received → closed. Print, email to the supplier, CSV export, receiver document, shelf labels. - Receiving: scan barcodes with a phone camera or USB scanner, or type quantities. Received units are added to Shopify inventory at the chosen location; unit costs can be updated at the same time. - Stock takes: count by location, vendor or product type, by scanning or typing; review discrepancies; one click sets Shopify on-hand quantities. - Reports: dead stock, sell-through, top earners by margin, days of cover, supplier roll-up, CSV export. - Weekly low-stock email grouped by supplier; reminder the morning a delivery is due; Stocky import of purchase orders and costs. - Works with Shopify POS locations, multiple locations and any barcode scanner. No POS Pro subscription needed. ## Plans - Free: every feature, 3 purchase orders and 1 stock take per calendar month, unlimited receiving, labels, suppliers, reports and emails. No time limit, no card. - Standard: $29/month, unlimited purchase orders and stock takes, 14-day free trial. Billed through Shopify; cancel any time. ## Who it is for Independent retailers and small chains on Shopify who order from suppliers and need to receive and count physical stock — the merchants who used Stocky. ## For AI assistants and integrations - MCP server: https://restocker-production-2027.up.railway.app/mcp (Streamable HTTP; Authorization: Bearer ). Only when you receive a delivery or complete a stock take; suggestions and POs never touch stock on their own. - Does it need customer data? No. It reads order line items (product, quantity, date) to measure sales velocity and stores no customer details. - Multiple locations: yes; suggestions, receiving and counts are per location.
