Backroom Terms of Service

These terms apply to merchants who install Backroom (the "app") from the Shopify App Store. By installing the app you agree to them.

The service

Backroom helps you create purchase orders, receive deliveries, print labels and count stock for your Shopify store. It reads product, inventory, location and order line-item data from your store and writes inventory adjustments only when you receive a delivery or complete a stock take.

Subscription and billing

The app is billed through Shopify at the price shown on its App Store listing, after a free trial. You can cancel at any time by uninstalling the app; charges stop at the end of the current billing period in line with Shopify's billing terms. Development stores are not charged.

Your data

How the app handles data is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: the app stores no customer personal data, uses store data only to provide the service, and deletes it when you uninstall or when Shopify sends a redaction request.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for reviewing suggested quantities before ordering, for the accuracy of counts you confirm, and for the stock changes the app makes on your instruction. The app provides tools; purchasing decisions are yours.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the app available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may improve or change features; material changes that affect your use will be announced in the app.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and our liability for any claim relating to it is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the three months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost sales or stock-outs.
